Monthly Photo Project: 9 Months Old

This is slowly turning into the monthly and a half photo project. Oh well! I do what I can! Funny thing about this fabric. I did a post about it here last year. I had found it on the Fabric Worm etsy shop.  Then I couldn't find it anywhere. It disappeared. The other day I was with the fam at Joann's and lo and behold they had it! I was super surprised to see it at Joann's of all places and on sale to boot. So I bought 2 yards.

Can you believe there are only 3 more pictures in this series?!!? Where is the time going? This boy is perfect in Every. Single. Way! I just adore him more and more as the time goes by!

Monthly Photo Project: 8 Months Old

Oh man this picture was HARD to get. I guess when I started this I wasn't thinking about rolling, sitting and crawling. I had to shoot him twice to get anything half way decent. So this will have to do. The next four pictures are going to just get harder and harder to take! This boy is amazing! He brings a lot of fun into our life that's for sure!

Monthly Photo Project: 7 Months Old

Yup! Late again. This month was super hard to get a decent shot. The minute we set him down he wanted to roll over and crawl away. So I had to take several different sets of pictures over several days. And this is what I ended up with. Cute no? I love this project. This boy melts my heart.

Monthly Photo Project: 6 Months Old

I finally got my pictures to upload!!! It made my day! I can't even believe this little man is already six months old. We are half way to a year. Time sure does seem to fly by. This months photo is cute, but it isn't my favorite. I learned this month that lighter colored fabric is really best. And tiny polka dots might not have been the best choice (my eyes are going crazy). Oh well! I also learned that it is going to get tougher and tougher to get a good shot. All he wanted to do was roll over. I had less than a minute each time I turned him on his back to take a picture. Therefore I had less to choose from in the end. It still turned out cute though. I don't think the boy could take a bad picture.

Monthly Photo Project: 5 Months Old

Well I'm back (again). Last week was a little crazy for me. I had somethings come up that kept me away from my computer all week. Here is the little man. A day late but who's keeping track besides me. I just love this boy so much! I swear these pictures look so much different/better in photoshop than they do uploaded to my blog. It's super frustrating. Anyone know why?!!?

Monthly Photo Project: 4 Months Old

I had a hard time choosing this months photo. There was a lot to choose from. Honestly it wasn't my favorite shot of his face. There were cuter smiles but there would be a hand or a foot that was totally blurry. It distracted from his face. So I went with this. Which is still cute. His hands are a little blurry but not too bad. This was also my least favorite fabric. Every time he wiggled it would pucker funny. Oh well. I am having a lot of fun taking his picture every month. I'm pretty sure my photography hasn't improved but I am having fun! This boy has completely stolen my heart!

Monthly Photo Project: 2 Months Old

Can you believe this little guy is TWO months old already? He's gotten so big. I had a lot of fun with this picture this time around because he was making all kinds of cute faces. He is just downright delightful!

Monthly Photo Project

This is not a completely new and unique idea. In fact I originally got the idea from my sister Aubrey. She has taken a monthly photo of all three of her children. I wish I would have thought of it when Miss. S was a baby. I feel bad that I didn't. However I'm excited to do it for Mr. Z. Since seeing my sister do this I have seen many other bloggers out there taking monthly photos of their sweet babes. Sherry and John at Young House Love took weekly (now that is dedication) photos of their little girl with a different fabric back drop every time. I thought that was perfect because I have loads and loads of fabric on hand. I probably won't have to pick out fabric for maybe 6 months. So each month for the first year of Mr. Z's life I'll be taking his picture on a different fabric back drop. For two reasons to document his first year of life and also to improve my photography & photoshop skills. As you can see this first one is a little rough, but my little man is perfect! Hopefully you'll not only see what a handsome little guy he turns into but you'll see some improvement in the photos.
