Phases

I go through phases with things. I'll be really into crafting for a few months. Then I'll switch it up and read a ton of books in a 2-3 month time frame. Then I burn myself out on that and I go back to sewing. Right now I'm in a cooking phase which I've never done before. I've actually been really into trying new recipes and making dinner a little more exciting. I love getting on allrecipes.com and just looking at all the choices. That is my go to site. Then last week I discovered the Campbell's Soup recipe site. I know it's probably nothing new to you guys, but I'm pretty excited about it!It's a sleek and very user friendly site. It has provided me with very easy, nutritious, yummy meals. We tried these BBQ Roast Beef sandwiches and they were a hit. I served them topped of with a little cheese and coleslaw. Very tasty. Tonight we'll be trying out the Chicken Broccoli Divan. Using 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken & adding sauteed mushrooms. Served over rice. Curve Balls

It's funny how just when you feel like your life has hit a good rhythm you are thrown a curve ball. I feel like I've been battling the flu, or a cold, or something for the past month. I'm getting a little tired of it. I feel like everything is a little off right now. The house is a little unkept, my to do list has gone ignored. It's time to get things together again. I'm thinking I'm finally on the mend. Knock on wood. It's perfect timing really. The last few days we have had the most beautiful weather. I'm in heaven! Therefore we've been outside enjoying the sun!This my friends is what an 82 degree San Antonio sky looks like. I just want to spend all day everyday sitting under this sky! It's dreamy!

Side Tracked

I've been a little side tracked as of late from blogging. I've been consumed with watching amazing athletes like this...I should be back on track after the Olympic Winter Games are over. I just love the Olympics and it seems like there are hours and hours of it still to watch on my DVR. I gotta catch up!

These genealogy charts really make me want to do some work on my family tree. I love how they are so modern and interesting.Genealogy is hard for me to do. I know I have some family members who are really into it right now. I just have a hard time focusing on it. I think if these were involved I would have a little more motivation. Genious!

I can't remember where I found this, but I had to pass it along. Because... well... it is brilliant! Customizable clothing. The online shop is called eShakti, and it has adorable cloths that you can customize. How does it work you ask? Well take this lovely little number...Cute right? Well I personally wouldn't be able to wear this dress. I would need a little longer sleeve. Guess what. You can add a longer sleeve. Or change the length. Or even change the size of the scoop neck. Rough Draft

These are the Valentine's I'm making this year. Hopefully they will come out a little more refined. This one was the test run. I feel like whenever I do some sort of craft I have to do a test run first. To see if what is in my head will actually translate. A lot of times it doesn't. This time I don't think they are as cute as I was hoping, but they are close enough. So I'm going ahead, and hopefully now that I have done it once they will just get cuter and cuter.

For some reason I've been having a lot of fun sewing paper lately. So when I saw this post over at MADE I knew I had to give it a try. Her Valentine's are so cute right? She is so creative & her blog is a constant source of inspiration. I'm going to have a lot of fun perfecting this one.
